Einz - How to get started

đ Download
Four steps from download to your first message.
Step 1: Download and install
Get the build from GitHub releases:
- Android: download the APK and allow installing apps from unknown sources;
- iPhone: download and trust the developer profile when prompted (not on the App Store);
- Mac: download and unzip the archive, then drag Einz into Applications.
Step 2: Create a space
Follow the wizard on first launch:
- Enter your name and gender (your companion will see them);
- Pick a type: duo space (for two) or group space (for a small circle you choose);
- Set the shared passphrase â the "key" to the space; your companion needs it to join, so remember it;
- Set a device PIN â required every time you open the app, for the moment your phone isn't in your hands.
Step 3: Invite your companion
Open the menu and tap Invite to generate an entrance code, then send it through whatever channel you already share (in person, SMS, chat). The code is valid once, within 24 hours.
Your companion installs the app, chooses Join a space at launch, enters the code and the shared passphrase â and they're in.
There are three kinds of codes: Invite (bring in someone new), Add a new entrance of mine (for your own new device), and Re-invite (when your companion has lost all their entrances).
Step 4: Start chatting
- Send text, photos, videos, voice notes, and files â like any chat app;
- Long-press a message â Burn after reading to set when it disappears;
- One check = sent, two checks = received;
- Switch between multiple spaces from the top bar; find My entrances and the shared passphrase in the menu.
